Coronavirus daily bulletin: 976 confirmed cases in the Canton of Basel-Stadt

As of 09:00 on Friday, 22 May 2020, the Department of Health Basel-Stadt announced a total of 976 positive cases among people living in the Canton of Basel-Stadt.

As of 09:00 on Friday, 22 May 2020, there are a total of 976 positive cases among people living in the Canton of Basel-Stadt. That is the same number as reported with the last bulletin on Wednesday, 20 May 2020. Of the 976 positive cases, 916 people, therefore more than 90 percent of it, have recovered (Thu 22 May: 916). The number of deaths recorded in the Canton of Basel-Stadt remains unchanged at 50.

In addition to testing residents of the canton, suspected cases from other Swiss cantons and other countries close to the border are also being tested in the Canton of Basel-Stadt. 1481 people have tested positive so far (including the 976 Basel cases).

Figures on hospitalisations will be available on the coming Tuesday again.
