Coronavirus daily bulletin: 933 confirmed cases in the Canton of Basel-Stadt

As of 09:00 on Monday, 20 April 2020, the Department of Health Basel-Stadt announced a total of 933 positive cases among people living in the Canton of Basel-Stadt, as well as two further deaths.

As of 09:00 on Monday, 20 April 2020, there are a total of 933 positive cases among people living in the Canton of Basel-Stadt. That is one more than on the previous day. Of the 933 positive cases, 770 people, therefore slightly more than 80 percent of it, have recovered.

Another two persons have died because of a Covid-19 infection in the Canton of Basel-Stadt. Deceased are two women of 85 and 98 years of age. Both had pre-existing conditions. This now brings the total number of deaths in the Canton of Basel-Stadt to 42.

In addition to testing residents of the canton, suspected cases from other Swiss cantons and other countries close to the border are also being tested in the Canton of Basel-Stadt. 1442 people have tested positive so far (including the 933 Basel cases).

Figures on the hospitalisation will be available as of tomorrow, Tuesday again. We ask for your understanding.
