Coronavirus daily bulletin: 272 confirmed cases in the Canton of Basel-Stadt

As of 10.00 on Friday, 20 March 2020, the Department of Health Basel-Stadt announced a total of 272 positive cases among people living in the Canton of Basel-Stadt.

As of 10.00 on Friday, 20 March 2020, there are a total of 272 positive cases among people living in the Canton of Basel-Stadt. That is 50 more than on the previous day. The number of deaths recorded in the Canton of Basel-Stadt remains unchanged at four. 46 people have recovered. 45 unwell Basel residents are currently receiving hospital treatment as a result of infection with Covid-19 (coronavirus).

In addition to testing residents of the canton, suspected cases from other Swiss cantons and other countries close to the border are also being tested in the Canton of Basel-Stadt. Around 504 people have tested positive so far (including the 272 Basel cases).
