Coronavirus daily bulletin: 962 confirmed cases in the Canton of Basel-Stadt

As of 09:30 on Wednesday, 6 May 2020, the Department of Health Basel-Stadt announced a total of 962 positive cases among people living in the Canton of Basel-Stadt.

As of 09:30 on Wednesday, 6 May 2020, there are a total of 962 positive cases among people living in the Canton of Basel-Stadt. That is three more than reported on the previous day. Of the 962 positive cases, 868 people, therefore 90 percent of it, have recovered. The number of deaths recorded in the Canton of Basel-Stadt remains unchanged at 50.

In addition to testing residents of the canton, suspected cases from other Swiss cantons and other countries close to the border are also being tested in the Canton of Basel-Stadt. 1485 people have tested positive so far (including the 962 Basel cases).

13 residents of the Canton of Basel-Stadt are currently being treated in a Basel-Stadt hospital because of a Covid-19 infection. A total of 21 persons are in hospital. Four people in total require intensive care. The other patients are in the normal ward.
