Coronavirus daily bulletin: 978 confirmed cases in the Canton of Basel-Stadt

As of 10.00 on Tuesday, 02 June 2020, the Department of Health Basel-Stadt announced a total of 978 positive cases among people living in the Canton of Basel-Stadt.

The 978 infections are made up of 923 recoveries(-), 50 deaths (-) and five active cases in isolation (+ 2), of which two are in hospital. 84 people (Sat, 30 May:73; since Sun, 31 May:84) are currently in quarantine.

The number of deaths in the Canton of Basel-Stadt has remained unchanged at 50 since 30 April 2020.

In addition to testing residents of the canton, suspected cases from other Swiss cantons and other countries close to the border are also being tested in the Canton of Basel-Stadt. 1487 people (+ 1) have tested positive so far, including the 978 Basel cases (Sat/Sun/Mon: each with 1468).
