In the late afternoon, 51-year-old Viola Svec-Valasek became the hundred-thousandth Basel resident to receive a vaccination (first vaccination). Lukas Engelberger: “The vaccination programme in the Canton of Basel-Stadt is in full swing. 60 percent of people eligible for vaccination in our canton have already registered or have already been vaccinated. I would like to call upon all residents who are eligible for vaccination to register if they have not already done so, so that we can achieve good level of immunisation in our canton.”
