Coronavirus bulletin: Current case numbers in Basel-Stadt

As of Tuesday, 8 June 2021, 10.20, the Department of Health Basel-Stadt had recorded a total of 12,892 positive cases among people living in the Canton of Basel-Stadt since the start of the pandemic, 146 active cases in isolation and 268 people in quarantine. The 7-day notification rate per 100,000 residents is 36 (CH: 30), the 14-day notification rate is 76 (CH: 93). 143,249 vaccinations have so far been administered in Basel-Stadt. 52,078 people have been fully vaccinated with the first and second vaccination.

Occurrence of infection in the Canton of Basel-Stadt: Of the 146 active cases, seven residents of the Canton of Basel-Stadt are in hospital. In addition, a further seven people from outside the canton or abroad are being treated in hospital in the Canton of Basel-Stadt. Of the total of 14 people in hospital, four require intensive care.

The total of 12,892 cases of infection in the Canton of Basel-Stadt since the start of the pandemic consists of 12,541 recoveries, 205 deaths and 146 active cases. There have been 32 new cases of infection since the last bulletin on Friday, 4 June 2021. A woman aged 58 has died in hospital as a result of Covid-19.

Status of vaccinations

Around 10,500 vaccinations have been administered since the last bulletin of Friday, 4 June 2021. There are currently only around 25,500 people on the waiting list.

As of yesterday, Monday 7 June 2021, a total of 143,249 vaccinations had been administered in the Canton of Basel-Stadt. 52,078 people have been fully vaccinated with the first and second vaccination.
